Gary Reshefsky Named President of the Board for Miami Children’s Museum

Gary Reshefsky, a respected insurance industry professional and lawyer, has been named President of the Board of Directors of Miami Children’s Museum. A board member since 2005, Gary has previously served as Vice President and Finance Committee Member. In this role he provided guidance and set policy for this valuable community resource and attraction.

Gary is a principal in Century Risk Advisors, an insurance agency with offices in Boca Raton and Coral Gables. Gary is involved in all facets of CRA’s operations with his primary focus being delivering excellent service to CRA’s clients. Gary also leads Public Risk Advisors, a related risk management consulting firm that provides consulting services to public entities and other similar institutions. Gary earned a BBA in Finance from The George Washington University in 1996, and a JD and MBA from the University of Miami in 1999. He is a member of the Florida Bar and holds multiple insurance licenses.

Dating back to college, Gary has continuously served in a leadership role in some form of community board or organization. This includes the City of Miami Homeland Defense Bond Oversight Board from 2002 to 2010 where he served as Chairman of the Audit Committee. The Board was charged with oversight of the expenditure of proceeds from a $255 million municipal bond offering. He helped establish practices and procedures for efficient expenditures and timely delivery of projects. Additionally, Gary has served on the University of Miami Citizens Board, and the UM Law School Alumni Board of Directors where he chaired the 2009 Reunion Committee.

The Miami Children’s Museum (MCM) offers bilingual and interactive exhibits; programs and classes and learning materials related to arts, culture, community and communication. They have 14 interactive galleries as well as housing many exciting and fun traveling exhibits. Miami Children’s Museum is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children by fostering a love of learning and enabling children to realize their highest potential. Through arts and educational programs, MCM seeks to include and target all audiences in Miami's changing and diverse community by becoming the "town center" for Miami-Dade County's children and families.
