City National Bank, the premier private and commercial bank in Florida, announced that Richard Garcia has joined the bank as Vice President, Home Association Team Leader. He will work out of the bank’s Brickell headquarters, located at 1450 Brickell Avenue.

Prior to joining CNB, Garcia worked as Vice President, Private Banking at BankUnited, where he managed a portfolio of $550 million in deposits and a staff of four. He was named the top producing private banking associate for the bank in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014. In addition, Garcia worked as a Small Business Financial Specialist at Wachovia Bank and a Mortgage Banking Team Leader at LendAmerica Home Loans.

“Richard’s experience in establishing new client banking relationships will be extremely beneficial as we work to grow our condo and home association lending portfolio,” said Bernard J. Garcia received his undergraduate degree in finance from Florida International University and is licensed in Series 6 and 63. He is a board member of the Christopher Columbus Alumni Association and the Latin Builders Association. In addition, he is a United Way Young Leader and a member of the Community Associate Institute.
