Jay Pelham

Jay Pelham, president of TotalBank, has been named to the Advisory Council for the United Way of Miami-Dade. The Advisory Council is comprised of key community leaders, appointed by the United Way Board, who use their expertise and leadership to provide insight to the organization’s Chair, President and Board Members. Serving on the Advisory Council affords respected community leaders the opportunity to lend their counsel to the nonprofit’s decision-makers.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve United Way as part of its Advisory Council to the Board of Directors. With my fellow Council members, I look forward to contributing as part the organization’s leadership team and fostering its strong legacy of good works in our community,” said Pelham.

In addition to his role on the Advisory Council, Pelham has been a trustee for many years and is now a Tocqueville Society member. His appointment to the Council follows his recent tenure as past Chairman of the Board of Trustees for History Miami. Pelham is also a member and former Board Chairman of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Miami. He has previously held board positions with the Zoological Society of South Florida (Zoo Miami), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, the Coconut Grove Playhouse, and the Miami-Dade Chapter of the American Heart Association.
