The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, recognized as one of South Florida's premier shopping destinations for its sophisticated level of merchandising and ambiance, has announced Gene Slone as the new security director. The announcement was made by Mark Trouba, general manager at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale.

As security director working in tandem with Universal Protection Services, Gene will be responsible for all aspects related to the continued safety and security of mall guests, employees and assets at The Galleria.

Slone brings with him a wealth of security management experience. Most recently, he served as the security director at The Summit at Birmingham in Alabama for four years. Prior to that, Slone had retired from a long career with the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation.
