City National Bank, the premier private and commercial bank in Florida, announced that Roberto Blandon, Sr. has joined the bank as a Senior Vice President, Corporate Banking Relationship Manager. He will work out of the bank’s Brickell headquarters.
Blandon has more than 31 years of domestic and international banking experience, most recently working at Apollo Bank as a Senior Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Lending Officer. Blandon gained most of his experience at Wachovia, where he spent 15 years as a banker. He has also held leadership positions at SunTrust, and Terra Bank, among others.

Blandon received his undergraduate degree from Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala and an MBA from University of Rochester. He is the co-founder of Nicaraguan American Bankers Association and is involved in Special Olympics Florida.
