Executive Women of the Palm Beaches (EWPB), Palm Beach County’s women-led organization dedicated to empowering women to succeed and lead, is proud to announce the addition of five leading businesswomen to its membership. New members are welcomed to EWPB based upon their stellar business accomplishments, charitable involvements and community impact and these individuals are true leaders in their industries.
Carmen C. Howe (resident of Boynton Beach) is Vice President of Design at Deco One Interiors Group. During the past 28 years, she has specialized in interior design, project coordination and furnishings of residential, commercial and model home properties. She has a background in Commercial and Graphic Arts Technology and Engineering Drafting and Design and an A.S. in Business Administration. Howe is involved in community service with her church community; her activities include fundraising, visiting with homebound church members, babysitting for members of the church so they can attend services, and collecting home and clothing items for members who have lost their homes.
Pam Swensen (resident of West Palm Beach) is the CEO of the Executive Women’s Golf Association who has overall oversight and administration of the association’s 108 national chapters, 1,200 volunteer leaders, 15 staff members and 14,000 members. EWGA’s mission is to connect women to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf for business and fun. Swensen’s community involvement is through golf, as one of three founding members of a not-for-profit volunteer organization through the National Women’s Golf Alliance. This organization has strengthened the women’s voice and credibility within the golf space.She is also an Advisory Council Member of the International Network of Golf.
Jessica Gruber (resident of West Palm Beach) is the President of the J A Gruber Accounting and Business Consulting, a full-cycle accounting firm that provides payroll, A/P, A/R, financial reporting, tax filings and deposits, journal entries, reconciliation and bookkeeping services. It also provides start-up services, which include business structure, accounting set-up, state and federal filings, retirement plan set up, budgeting and forecasting. Gruber’s involvement in community service includes Old Northwood volunteer activities, Animal Rescue Force, beach cleanup, and volunteering at children’s schools.She has a B.S. in Business Administration from Colorado State University and a Master’s in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
Ruth Mansmith (resident of Wellington) is the President/CEO of corporate consulting to national health-facility chains with HMC Management. She has been in the medical consulting field since 1992.Recently, she founded a nonprofit organization, Gen4Good, which empowers girls to become the next generation of leaders of social change through philanthropy. Mansmith’s additional community service includes serving on the gala planning committee with Boys and Girls Club of Wellington; serving as Board Member of the Women of Western Community and on the Steering Committee and Host Committee of the Historical Society of Palm Beach. She is also active in the Junior League of the Palm Beaches. Mansmith has a B.A. in Communications from FAU and a Master’s of Science from Liberty University.
Olivia Giamanco (resident of West Palm Beach) is a native Palm Beach County resident who is passionate about seeing growth and improvement in the community that she loves. While working in non-profits throughout her college career, she began to see both the need and generosity of those living in the Palm Beaches and knew she wanted to pursue a career in philanthropy. Giamanco graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in History and English and has worked as a marketing manager in luxury shopping centers, as well as downtown districts, and has learned the intricacies of the Palm Beach market. She is grateful to have the opportunity to impact the community in bigger ways through the American Lung Association.
Executive Women of the Palm Beaches provides year round programming and events to enhance the skills and knowledge base for women across Palm Beach County.
